Crossroads Publishing Presents the Sculpture and Drawings of Wanda Rea

About Cold Cast Bronze

The limited edition sculptures displayed, Neptune's Nymph and Cape Hatteras Light were cast using a method called cold-cast bronze.

A bronze powder and resin mixture are poured into meticulously crafted molds. For added strength and longevity, fine pewter is also added to portions of the casting such as the mermaid's fingers and treasure chest, as well as the lighthouse top. After the reproductions are removed from the molds, each must be hand smoothed, painted, and sealed.

Neptune's Nymph is available in any of three patinas: detail hand-painted, antique bronze patina or antique bronze and turquoise patina.

Each sculpture, limited edition or original, is mounted on a solid hardwood base and the bottom of the base is covered with felt to protect your furniture.

Each of these fine art reproductions comes with a brass numbered name plate and a certificate of authenticity bearing the edition number.

Upon completion of the edition all molds will be destroyed. These works of art are copyrighted and all reproduction rights are reserved by the artist.
